I initially went in to see Dr. Maloney for my incredibly bad lower eye lids (aka bags) and for some scarring I had from a 10 year stint of having adult acne. I wanted to see what he suggested because I was unsure of the best action to improve my appearance. I had pretty much done anything and everything minus the knife. It was really hard to get rid of the scarring and just the overall “tired look” of my skin after having harsh topical treatment after harsh topical/treatments. I felt like I looked older than I actually was. It’s always a little intimidating going in somewhere and letting someone look at your face while you are about 1-2 inches away from their face, lol! But he was VERY comfortable to be around. I have this stigma in my head on how plastic surgeons can be and he wasn’t that. He felt like a friend that I had known for years. I never felt less than or uncomfortable during any of our consults. Ultimately he suggested a half face lift and a brow lift, in addition to the lower blepharoplasty. The brow loft I was a little unsure about, but so glad I did it! It helps soften the appearance of my scars. And as we were “playing” around with the software we decided together that a neck lift and an earlobe reduction. I am 6 months out from surgery and the results keep getting better! I look just like me, but maybe how I looked when I was 27! I am 44 for the record. I could not be more impressed or more pleased!
