What is Latisse®?
You can have longer, fuller, thicker and darker upper eyelid lashes as early as 6-8 weeks by applying Latisse® to your upper eyelid lash line. Latisse® is available by prescription only and is offered at the Maloney Center for Facial Plastic Srugery in Atlanta, GA.
The active ingredient in Latisse® is bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analog that extends the natural growth cycle of the eyelash. By prolonging this growth phase, lashes grow longer, become thicker, and appear darker over time. The result is natural eyelash enhancement rather than the temporary appearance created by mascara, lash extensions, or false eyelashes.
How to Use Latisse®
A once-daily application is all that is required. Treatment is typically applied at night after cleansing the face, removing eye makeup, and taking out contact lenses.
The solution is carefully applied only to the upper eyelid lash line. Because the active ingredient can stimulate hair growth wherever it is repeatedly applied, any excess solution should be gently blotted away. Dr. Maloney and his team provide detailed instructions to help ensure safe and effective use.
